The Nigerian princess: what the teenage girl should be like

Chapter 4
Hey princess, I just want to let you  know the title is totally wrong .

  • Darling as a teenage girl you are supposed to be you ,unique, fun and silly you, the world will try to mold you into its image that's why Its commonly said that if you do not stand for something you will fall for everything, believe it or not if you don't make decisions for yourself the world will indirectly make the decision for you and you would have to live with the consequence.

There are to many books and blogs talking about the perfect girl and what you should do to attain perfection or how to fit in and be normal.

Firstly who defines what is normal or perfect?
Too many people leave it up to the beauty bloggers/vloggers,magazines and catalogs to decide what normal or perfect is,sweetheart that's your job make these tiny decisions that seem irrelevant and hold on to your believes.

Secondly why would you want to be ordinary when you were created to be extraordinary? Why would you want to fit in when you were created to be stand out?

 Understand the principle of you,
Understand who you are and why you are the way you are.

Another issue young girls face is forgiving them selves for their past mistakes. Let  me just say that YOU ARE NOT YOUR MISTAKES;
You are better than your mistakes.

Moving on to body confidence, the beauty industry, entertainment industry and social media keep feeding us this idea that only a certain kind of people are fit to be called beautiful these are the light skin girls, tall girls, slim girls and girls with an hour glass figure
Well this is a LIE, I know so because I've seen girls that don't fit into any of these categories but are still very beautiful and I am a very good example.
It is absolutely OK to want to change or give your body a better definition but always remember to love you and accept all your flaws and shortcomings and if they are flaws that can affect your confidence and can be adjusted without any drastic effects I would advise you adjust such flaws.

Now to the issue of make up, so I've heard people say that only girls that are insecure  wear make up and that is a BIG LIE๐Ÿ™…, wearing make up is not a sign of insecurity some girls just feel better when they have make up on and that is absolutely OK
But the truth is you don't look your best when you have make up on you look your best when you feel your best๐Ÿ’ƒ

Now what is not OK is you trying to alter yourself to fit into someone's definition of perfection, that is not right in any way ๐Ÿ˜‘

Be true to you ,remind yourself daily that you are good enough and you are beautiful because you really are.

Be kind, be unique, be extraordinary, be beautiful and be you ever single day, the you that is true is the best you๐Ÿ’ƒ.

Bye ๐Ÿ˜˜
